Enemy of the Sun is a visual essay that unravels the history of the 20th century that led to October 7th – a crisis of borders and the nation-states that dictate them. This film highlights how a US-led vortex of western violence naturalized Israel’s ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestine and the future that is to come unless we stop it. By weaving together archival footage, sound collage, and animation, Enemy of the Sun illustrates the connections between militarized border violence and colonial land theft, as well as resistance against those forces.
